Plains or mountain ranges to lose sight combine with sun and heat and impose a slow gentle rhythm where stress does not rule – it is the south of Portugal. The Alentejo is naturally divided between the immense plain and gilded wheat fields riding with the wind and wild beaches of a rural and unexplored beauty. In the interior the scenery amplitude is cut by cork oaks or olive trees.
In the hills, white and blue houses losing itself in the scenery, castles evoke conquests and patios inherit Arab influences. On the coast the small or big beaches are always wild, extensive and with white sand, inviting to stay and discover this other Alentejo. Driving towards south we discover the Algarve where waters are hotter and calmer and the beaches have fine golden sand. Beaches with long sand pits or just topped by cliffs, but always in the presence of the sea and sun. And there is golf all over the year. |
